Part of that is higher list prices, part is buyers moving to eau de parfum and parfum, which cost more per ml. How does EauIndex know a list price changed?
We read each brand's US list price from the brand's own website and compare it with the price from our previous check of the same bottle and size. We cannot see the exact day a brand changes a price, so each change is dated between the two checks. Store sale prices never count, and jumps too large to be plausible (usually a size mix-up) are held back until checked by hand.
